From Bid to Certification, from Bleed Port to Component Junction
We are A team of experienced multi–lingual Engineers operating from a secure environment of fully furnished, networked offices, providing a complete Project Management service supported by Administration capabilities, a continuously developing IT infrastructure, a dedicated IT Manager and a QA System managed by a fully qualified Quality Consultant.
Summary of our Capabilities: Experienced in all aspects of Air Systems and Thermal Analysis, we do have many years of relevant experience. This experience can be summarised into the major areas detailed below.
Equipment Selection and Qualification: Extensive experience in the preparation of System, Sub-System and equipment Specifications and the associated tasks of specification compliance and equipment qualification. An ability to effectively manage both the technical and commercial aspects with equipment suppliers, providing a firm basis for efficient and timely equipment approvals.
Systems Analysis: We have performed the complete range of analyses required for Bleed Air, Cabin Conditioning, Avionics Cooling, Internal Equipment Conditioning, Vapour Cycle and Cabin Pressurisation Systems. These include pressure loss, heatload, thermal, decompression, safety and failure analyses. Employing traditional Systems Engineering techniques, calculations can be performed manually or through the creation of bespoke models utilising MS Excel or Mathworks Simulink. Investment into specific Systems Analysis software provides us with the capability to produce analyses utilising Flowmaster for flow modelling and will shortly allow us to use Flotherm for Thermal Analysis.
Systems Testing: Our capabilities in this area extend from writing Build Test Procedures to participating in Flight trials. We have demonstrable ability to support the full range of rig and aircraft testing, devising the test procedures, helping perform the tests, analysing the results, modifying the system models to correspond with reality and completing test reports.
Systems Certification: This is often perceived as a time consuming and difficult task. Our Engineers have already helped clients take their systems from concept to JAR / FAR part 23 and 25 approval, including creation of all documents required by the CAA, JAA and FAA. We also ensure compliance with many design standards including DEFSTAN 00-970, MILSTD 810 C/D/E, DO-160C/D and BS3G100.
Engineering and Design Support: As Mechanical Systems Engineers we are involved in extensive liaison with multi-disciplined teams of Engineers and Designers. We support Sales Teams and our involvement in projects often starts at the bid stage. Being commercially aware we recognise the importance of getting the job completed to cost and on time.
